Welcome to my page. I am a 3rd grade classroom teacher in a Title 1 school. My classroom demographics include many students with individualized educational plans and with high social/emotional, academic, and behavioral needs. It's imperative to meet these students where they are. That can only be done with the right resources. I strive to have a classroom that anyone can walk into and never know which kids receive special services. I create that environment by providing flexible seating, cooperative & independent learning, and direct instruction. I love my students and my job. I take great pride in watching their social emotional and academic growth throughout the school year. The Global Pandemic has changed teaching and learning. Students and parents have greater needs than they've ever had. Classroom sizes are growing again. I need to find and use creative ways to meet needs while creating a learning environment.
