I work at Denby High School, a member of the EAA of Michigan. Denby is in the bottom 5% of schools in Michigan. Despite all of the odds stacked against them, my students persevere to succeed. Every day I am impressed by their will, desire, and drive to push beyond society's expectations for them. My students face challenges that most of us cannot even imagine, and continue to attend school on a daily basis. I consider it my honor to teach them, and I strive to provide them with the basic supplies they need to succeed.
