JA seeks to prepare our students for the world of STEM - a world of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. In the 21st century, students need to be able to navigate technology, particularly as they learn math. As a math and science teacher, I want to do everything in my power to ensure that my students have access to the technology tools that will help to develop the skills needed to competitively navigate through today's technological world. Fluency in technology coupled with fluency in math skills will help to better prepare my students to successfully access the world of STEM. Currently, we are able to provide laptops to just 1 out of every 4 students. The additional laptops will provide all of our students with more opportunities to use technology and develop important technological skills. My students will use the Chromebooks to access individualized computer-based programs which will provide my students with instruction that is personally designed for their academic needs.
