Kids these days love technology, especially devices that are easy to use and interactive. The Kindle Fire tablets not only offer the best value and a comprehensive collection of educational apps, but come with built-in safety features to ensure appropriate content. By donating to this project, not only will you increase the digital literacy of the students, but also their reading, comprehension, math, and inquiry skills. Students will use these tablets as part of their daily math and reading centers, as well as during math and reading intervention. Through the use of apps, the tablets will provide students with a fun, engaging, and age appropriate way to practice, reinforce, extend, and explore classroom concepts and topics. Students will be able to work on essential reading and math skills through a variety of interactive games, all with immediate feedback. By utilizing different levels of difficulty and some of the custom features within apps, students will be able to work on exactly the skills they need.
