My first grade students range in age from 5 - 7 years old, and they are energetic, curious and very independent! They love listening to me read stories and they can't get enough of our alphabet songs, chants and rhymes. Every morning they ask to listen to a story. Some of them find books on the student book shelf and ask me to please read it aloud. They are very curious about why things are the way they are and are always looking for answers.
