My audio-visual program is based at a school in an urban setting, where most of my students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. The socioeconomic status of my students does not tell the whole story. My students are highly motivated, innovative, and engaged to learn - especially since my program is about technology and the use of audio-visual equipment. The majority of my students love technology, social media, television and music. This program allows them to take the entertainment elements combined with the technical skills to embark on a fabulous journey that can lead to a career or major in film, radio, journalism, and more. Our school is high energy. Currently, my students design, film, and produce the school-wide weekly Morning Show, inclusive of commercials, interviews, and school-wide events.
