Our mission at REVAMP After School Program is to empower and enlighten underprivileged youth; to provide opportunities for academic, athletic, culinary, and artistic enrichment; to build confidence and self-esteem; and to inspire youth to value learning, discovery, and creativity. REVAMP is an acronym for Restoring Excellence via Academics Mentoring and Philanthropy. We believe it’s important that our students have an opportunity to explore interests outside of their educational responsibilities at school, while incorporating character education and instilling a commitment to serving others. Our after-school program serves underprivileged youth ages 6-12 who attend Title I schools, with approximately 50% of those students receiving free or reduced-price meals each day. REVAMP offers an enrichment experience our students would not otherwise have. The items listed in this project will allow our students access to the equipment, materials, and modern technology necessary to foster creative and athletic enrichment while supporting their development into productive members of society. We will need Acer Aspire laptops, mice, and mouse pads. With the laptops the students will complete homework and projects for school. Also they will use the laptops to research and problem solve curriculum related content and problems. They do not have these resources and opportunity in their situation. Thank you for your partnership in donating to our cause. Our students and the REVAMP staff are very grateful, knowing that we would not have these resources if it were not for your help!
