Third grade is the first year that students are testing on the SBAC, our standardized test. Since it is their first year testing they have no idea of the rigor of the test and the stamina they need to keep motivated. They are only used to sitting for short periods of time and they will be expected to remain seated and focused for hours on end for two weeks. These snacks will give them energy when they need it and make sure that they are not taking the test on an empty stomach. School is already challenging for my students. Most do not read at grade level and this test will be difficult for them. I know these snacks will help them strive to do their best!
