Students in my classroom have more struggles than most teens. Most are stuck looking at their cellphones, but our students do not have technology. Most of the students attending our school come from low income backgrounds, where they have to attend jobs after school to make ends meet. There is very limited technology at our school (teacher outdated laptops) and to expect our students to become college and career ready is a unimaginable task, especially with our students worried about whether they will have a meal or not at home.
