As a librarian in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to provide my students with quality, award winning books in the library. Many of my students are learning English at school. Some titles I have selected are: Snow, Puppy Mudge series, Race Day and many more. Part of that task is making sure my students have to opportunity to hear fluent English at home. Having these books with CDs will make it easier for students to access different book choices, hear quality books in English, and have a more enjoyable experience. The books with CDs are child friendly and a variety of fiction and non fiction choices for my students.
