Hello, I teach in an urban school located on the east side of St Paul. I love my diverse 3rd graders and recognize that each one has a very unique learning style. I would like to 'break free' of the standard chair and table classroom and create a dynamic learning classroom that will help meet the needs of my diverse learners. Many third graders are not meant to sit in stable chairs pushed up to a table for their independent work time. Research has proven that they learn and perform best when their basic needs are met. What I would like to create is an environment where they are able to stand comfortable at a table, sit on various types of seating, or lay down on the floor to complete their work.
