Our district utilizes math and ELA programs to enhance math and reading fluency. Since many of our students do not have internet access at home or even access to a computer to help practice these programs and meet these skills, they are at a disadvantage. These district programs help bridge gaps in reading comprehension, phonics skills, and addition and subtraction fluency, to name a few. These Chromebooks will allow every student to access ELA and Math fluency programs daily while also freeing up time for students to research for assigned projects throughout the year! With an anticipated increase class numbers next year, I would like to give more students daily access to technology. When our students have access to these programs, they will be strengthening their fluency skills and will positively compare to surrounding districts in meeting 21st century skills.
