I want my students to see the magic in reading! My classroom is Harry Potter themed and the students love all the decorations and wands and other Harry Potter items all around my class but I want them to truly understand the magic in reading and learn why it is that I find Harry Potter so inspiring. The class sets of Harry Potter will give us the opportunity to read the story together and appreciate the classroom and be inspired by their magical learning environment! The class sets of I survived will have the students read historical fiction as well as fiction so that they can get facts and information from their reading. Reading should inspire students and help them dive in a world of magic! I want to use the Harry Potter decorations to make my room magical. I love to play Harry potter music when my students walk in and dim the lights when we are doing dramatic things. Learning should be inspiring not dreary. This project will help my students develop a love of learning and get them excited about reading and writing! A little inspiration can make all the difference.
