In my classroom, I want my students to learn to be independent and resourceful. My goal is to teach them all they need to learn academically while accomplishing teaching them how to help themselves in the process. This process is accomplished through practice, modeling, and opportunity. This can only comes through working with the needs of every students. Meeting my student's needs and resources go hand in hand in a new teacher's classroom. Technology greatly advances my ability to teach my students independence. They are able to practice math and reading skills without a constant guide. They are able to self-regulate whether they need more practice or more teacher help. Wobble chairs are an essential resource for my students that need to move. The ability to wiggle while working allows them to focus on what is really important. I need these ipads and chairs in order to enhance my learning community for students of all abilities and needs.
