I am a special education teacher for students with varying disabilities. Most of my students are at least two grade levels behind in reading, writing and math. I LOVE teaching students who struggle. I LOVE that moment when a student has a light bulb moment and masters a skill they have been working on for some time. My ultimate goal is to make school rewarding and fun. I want all students to have the opportunity to feel good about themselves and be successful. In order to do this I need to motivate my students to practice skills that are difficult for them and sometimes a cause of anxiety. If I can set up 3 or 4 electronic devices in my classroom like i-pads or tablets, my students will be able to access interactive reading and spelling programs and practice their skills in an interactive, fun way. This will make a world of difference for my students and I will appreciate any bit of help to make this happen!
