Kindergarten students feel ready to take on the world. Often times, due to their abilities, they are unable to fulfill their grand ideas. This is especially true when it comes to beginning reading. By giving the students an avenue of independent reading they are taking responsibility for their learning and setting up good habits for their future. With these books with the read along cd, students can listen to fictional and nonfiction stories. Both of these books will help students to learn about characters, setting, and retelling of a story. They will also be learning the word to letters correspondence, punctuation, and how pictures match the words.
