These will enable me to let kids that otherwise can't afford their own instruments have a chance to join the band. Currently those students either play with sub-standard instruments or are unable to join band altogether. Our school unfortunately has a large collection of completely unusable and broken instruments. I'm trying to replace the broken ones a few at a time so we can grow our band program and expose the community to a variety of musical styles and genres. My goal when I became an educator was to give back to my community and that's what I'm trying to do now, through music.

About my class
