Immersion is the most effective way to learn a language. With the use of technology, the walls of our classroom will expand well beyond the limits of a textbook. Students will be able to access songs, movies, books, commercials and language learning tools to give students meaningful experiences with the Spanish language. When a baby learns to talk, he doesn´t sit down and listen to the rules of grammar or quietly memorize vocabulary. Parents usually repeat sounds over and over to a baby, ready him books, and sing him songs. These are authentic experiences that teach him the language. Why would learning a second language be any different? The Kindle Fires will allow students to have more authentic experiences with the Spanish language and culture.
