Moreno AVID Academy is a public elementary school located in Southern California, which serves a diverse group of students, including a large population who are limited in English proficiency and low-income. Since Moreno is an AVID school, we try to prepare all students for college, careers, and life through a variety of skills and strategies. My eager first grade students are interested, curious, and creative learners. They love coming to school every day, not only to learn the first grade content, but to engage in art, explore with technology, and learn with music. Since our school is Title 1, we often lack sufficient resources, therefore I am asking that you help my students overcome obstacles and achieve success.
