The children that I teach are extraordinary in every sense of the word. Autism Spectrum Disorder is a complex complication with brain development. My students have severe Autism which causes them to present with skills far below their numerical age. My students are non-verbal and have trouble completing everyday tasks that typically developing children their age take for granted. However, with all of their obstacles, these children demonstrate affection with more veracity than any other student I have ever taught. I am honored to teach such children everyday.
