The Gettys Middle School band has 20% of the school population in its program. The students of the Gettys Middle School Band are very active in the South Carolina Band Directors association. Each year we have many students participate in All-County and Region Bands as well as Concert Festival assessment in the spring. Gettys Middle School is at 49% free and reduced lunch throughout the school. Many of the students have difficulty purchasing instruments to be able to participate in the band program.
