By having iPads in the classroom I will be able to do a lot of my teaching digitally. I will be able to connect the iPads to the apple T.V. in my room. This will allow me to move around while the students assist with lessons. I will be able to see how the children are doing and assess their work immediately. Each student will be given more opportunities to have more personalized attention from me. The iPads and earphones will also be a great resource to use during rotations. This will allow students to get extra help through the reading and math apps. I will be able to sit with them and watch and assess their progress as they do their work in front of me. This will be beneficial to my struggling readers as they use different apps to help improve their reading and comprehension skills. They will be able to use the earphones to stay focused and on task as they listen to and practice reading. The iPad covers will help extend the life of the iPads and keep them clean. Having all these items will give my students the extra help they need. Many of my students don't get the opportunity at home to be read to. The CD players and headphones will be used to listen to books. My students will be able to listen to books on CD and follow along. Research has shown that being read to improves reading skills and reading comprehension. The rechargeable batteries for the CD players will help with keeping down the cost of continually buying batteries for the players.
