I have about 90, 10 to 11 year old, students that rotate to me throughout the day for math. They come from humble backgrounds and are very excited to come to school and learn. My school is a Title I school in the Houston area, within Houston ISD. Our students were affected by Hurricane Harvey, which caused some of them to lose their homes and all their belongings. As a school, we conduct a dedicated hour out of our day for reading intervention in order to meet the needs of our students' literacy levels.
