Students will work through pre-made educational escape rooms using the locks, lock boxes, and black lights listed. Students will review previous lessons, get a preview of new content, and expand their thinking using the concept of escape rooms. The escape room supplies will be used in class and during intervention times. I recently experienced two educational escape rooms. The first one was a teamwork building activity. We participated with others in our building to expand our knowledge of what learning could look like in a classroom. The second escape room was more focused on math content. We had to use our knowledge of long division and items around the room to complete the task and unlock the boxes. Escape rooms are a great way of getting all students engaged and moving, while learning, in the classroom. Content I will personally cover using the escape room supplies includes financial literacy, compound interest, simple interest, tax, tip, percentages, unit rate costs, etc. The escape room materials can also be used in other content areas. Science, social studies, math, and English can also utilize the escape rooms.
