Using technology is a daily activity in the lives of my students. I would like to take advantage of this interest to help them access material in the classroom. I would like to have a classroom set of 5 Samsung Galaxy Tablets for my students to use during their independent time or during rotations when I am working with a small group. The great thing about the tablets in the classroom is that all kids gravitate toward technology. Bringing Technology in the classroom will most definitely get students more excited than ever. When students are more engaged they absorb more. These tablets will help me to extend the learning beyond the classroom. They are a multipurpose learning tool that can appeal to all types of learners. Since every student learns at a different pace, it is very hard for me to create lessons that fully benefit every student. There are all sorts of educational apps for the tablets that allow students to work and excel at their own pace, making learning a lot more effective for everyone. I also plan to use an app that will allow students to share what they are learning in the classroom with their parents. This use of technology will help my students practice their literacy skills at their own pace and at their own level. It will also strengthen their ability to interact with technology.
