Our students of Chicago need to be offered a rich variety of texts and experiences showcasing the power of knowledge. What I believe to be of utmost importance is that these students see and hear from a wide variety of individuals and groups around the world and learn skills along the way. We are looking to build future leaders through the study of those that have come and gone before, dedicating their lives to the betterment of the communities around them, global and local. Learning through virtual field trips, google earth, minecraft education and so on will help us expose students to these skills and these cultural groups around our globe.
