I teach at a magnet school in an urban city. The magnet is for visual and performing arts. We have over 90% of our students who are on free or reduced lunches. Our students are very talented when it comes to their elective areas but lack the skills needed to be successful, academically in math. I teach 7th grade Pre-Algebra and my students are scared of the math. It is my job to change their minds and show them they can be successful in their academics, as well as their electives.

About my class
