My students are 6th and 7th graders taking physical and life science respectively. I serve students in a somewhat small laboratory school setting with the feel of a family environment. Students under my tutelage seem to thrive in an environment where each child gets to take an active part in the learning process. We serve a predominantly African American student population in an inner city area. A great majority of my students receive most of their exposure inside the classroom. For this reason, I attempt to bring science laboratories and cultural experiences into the classroom as much as possible.
