As a third grade classroom teacher, one of my main priorities is to foster creativity and problem solving in my students, while introducing them to the world outside our classroom walls. I believe this can be achieved through the arts. My Donors Choose project, Creativity Continues, will allow my students to continue their learning through creative expression by providing basic art supplies for their use throughout the summer. Clearly, all of our children have lost a lot this year. My students worked so hard on their community service project and were so excited to be rewarded for their efforts with end of the year field trips. Due to Covid-19, I can't provide those experiences, but it is my hope, with my Donor Choose project, that I CAN provide an opportunity for my students to continue to explore their creativity and the world around them through art activities at home.
