I am a teacher for the blind and visually impaired in a very low income area that suffered serious damage from hurricanes and flooding in the past. My students all have some level of vision impairment, from partial sight to total blindness. This makes it difficult or even impossible to the general education curriculum. My students range in age from 3 to 18. Each child is unique and has different needs. We are unable to purchase everything needed for each of them to be successful in school, and even in life, on our limited budget.

About my class
