New books will be like Christmas morning to my students. Our class library will be bursting with exciting new adventures to faraway lands, where students can connect with their favorite characters and dream of new worlds to create. Students will be amazed at the fun, new titles to choose from during class read aloud time. Class read aloud time is where we discuss mindset and student character traits. The rich class discussion from our little learners is incredible. They love selecting the perfect book to read with their buddy. The buzz in our classroom as we get ready for buddy reading is indescribable. Students anxiously await their turn at the bookshelf in hopes of finding that just right book. Although we have a diverse level of readers, their excitement for books is our driving force in our fabulous first grade class.
