Our classroom library is our hub. This is where we find the books which help us to travel to lands our feet may never touch. It is where we find other characters who are a lot like us, and it reminds us that we are not alone. Our classroom library is where we digest books which allow us to get lost in adventures and take a break from reality. Unfortunately, the current shelving system of our classroom library is no longer sturdy enough to house our books and takes away from our ability to gain quick access to genres we love.
By donating to our project, you will not only be providing us with much needed housing for our books, our most prized classroom possessions, you will also be helping to foster a love for reading by increasing our book collection in an inviting way. The new bookshelves will replace the worn out ones and will provide our students with more space to fill with books. The book bins will allow our classroom librarians to better organize our genres and book selections while helping us to keep our books in good shape. The additional books will add diversity and rich literature to our reading diets.
