My students come from homes where basic school resources are often scarce. I am trying to put together home schooling "kits" with the first grade basics for them to keep at home. Thanks so much if you can help. This will help my students with basic literacy and math concepts by allowing them to cut with scissors and manipulate words and pictures, and show mastery of sorting by attributes in both language and mathematics by using glue. They will use pencil sharpeners so that they can sharpen the unsharpened pencils in order to write on the lined writing paper. Should they make mistakes, they will use the erasers to fix their errors. The construction paper will allow them to enjoy some creative outlet since we feature an artist every month. They will create their own art based on the attributes of the artist being studied.
