I am a second grade teacher in an inner-city school. Our school is a high-priority school with 78% of our students on free or reduced lunch. 97% of my student are on free or reduced lunch. Our school serves our county's parole area. Where families live after getting out of prison. Every single one of my 21 students have seen a parent arrested. My class is also unique in that I work and translate for Burundian refugees. I have 4 Burundians currently under my care.
