I am a 6th grade teacher at a Title I school. Many of my students have parents who work 2 or 3 jobs. My students' families are often working to make ends meet. Even though my students come from difficult backgrounds, they have the passion and drive to get a quality education. Unfortunately, they often do not have the resources to support their education and passion for learning at home. My students demonstrate a love for reading and a need to expand their knowledge, but cannot do so at home because money is limited, causing the students to have little to no grade level reading materials at home. My school provides an environment that wants to fully support each student's education. We have qualified and passionate educators who understand the importance of books in a child's life.
