My classroom is a hub for hands-on learning! I teach first grade with students who are eager and excited to learn to read. I teach in a Title I school with a very high population of Hispanic and other ESOL students. In fact, over 60% of my students do not speak English as their first language at home. Therefore, many of my students' first exposure to English literature is in the classroom.
