For most of my students school is the only place where they learn English. Lots of times parents aren't able to help them with homework or read with/to them. School becomes the one and only place where they are exposed to English. During the day I work with small groups, but I feel it is not enough. If I had a listening center in my classroom, it would give students the opportunity to read/listen to grade appropriate books during our small group instruction, even when I am busy helping others.
