I want to empower my students in the 21st century using the tools of the 21st century that will engage and encourage them to prepare and study subject content. I teach 5th grade social studies and language arts. My school is in a rural location. Although the ratio of students receiving free and reduced lunch qualifies my school for Title I funding, the school does not receive the extra funding because of budget cuts due to the current recession.
