My school is a Title 1 school. Over 83 % of our students participate in the free or reduced lunch program which is much higher than the state or national average in other elementary schools . Although the school gets extra funding, I still have to provide many of the necessities and activities for my students within the classroom. My school is one where teachers are committed to finding resources to help these students and are committed to education. The school fosters the idea that EVERY child is valuable and can succeed with the help of caring and committed adults. Every day my students amaze me with their dedication to their education. They excel in their commitment to each other and show perseverance in all that they attempt.
