I teach at a new and expanding middle school in New York City. As a new physical education program, my students are looking for different activities that they can participate in. They are full of energy, positive in nature, and need different outlets to express themselves physically. Our challenge has been getting supplies. Basketball, in particular, has been a challenge for us. Our students persevered, showed resilience, and refused to give up on having basketball at our school. I helped organize a basketball team for our school. Unfortunately, in our physical education program, they do not have access to basketball as we are in an older auditorium.
