I have taught special education for the last 8 years. I have taught 1st grade for 4 years. I did my internship as a school counselor last year. This year is my first year as a certified school counselor. Our school created space for a mindfulness room and now we are working on filling it so that student can have a place where they can reconnect with themselves, de-escalate, take time for them, and find a refuge in our every changing world. The space benefits the whole school and can be used my all students.
