I would describe my school as a highly diverse gem in the School District of Philadelphia. My current students are respectful, kind and eager to learn. They are not without challenges, 95% of my third grade students are English Language Learners (ELL) and are currently struggling to keep up with the rigorous common core standards. Our schools are greatly underfunded, and we have no access to technology within our classroom.
