My musicians will use these instruments to play ensemble pieces, improvise, and compose their own pieces. They will use these instruments as they practice reading music using traditional notation, both rhythmically and melodically. They will practice playing melodies and accompaniments and even accompany themselves as they sing. These xylophones and mallets will allow my students to create music together as an ensemble. With a focus on ensemble playing, my goal is to provide enough instruments for my musicians to consistently perform together as a full-ensemble. Musicians are empowered when playing together! There is no sense of community like an ensemble of musicians!
