My students are all students of first-generation immigrants living in the South Bronx, one of New York's most dangerous neighborhoods. They are all between 11 and 13, attempting to make a name for themselves in the world and be pioneers in their families. They make waves daily through high performance in the classroom. As a technology school, it is sad to see that our technology resources are overburdened by the amount of students we attempt to service each day. Keeping school engaging and fun for students is critical to their success. They need to work as professionals in the industry do. Our school is a leader in the district that students look forward to attending as a safe haven, as well as exciting experiences in their classes daily. They need to treated as experts in their field and love inquiry Science!
