This team has built a strong legacy of successful young men and women, many who credit their success to their time spent on the team. The girls on the team have developed the mantra, "It's not a team. It's a sisterhood." We maintain a positive attitude in and outside of practice to ensure this special bond. They work extremely hard to perfect their craft. They not only practice after school, they also practice on the weekends and during the summer. They also help each other in practice and with academics as well. Since step is not recognized as an official sport, they work even harder to raise money for the things that they need (competition attire, competition fees, transportation for outside practices, etc.), often coming out of pocket for many of the necessities. Our school has tried to accommodate us to the best of its ability, with our PTA even helping to financially assist us with the competition's registration fee.
