Hi, I am Dr. Peaches Turner, a special education teacher, who has been given the opportunity to teach a wonderful group of exceptional education students this school year. Let me clarify, I work along with a wonderful speech pathologist and assistant; therefore, I am not alone. Our class consists of six students with a diagnosis of Autism; ages ranging from 3 to 4 years old. Some will be entering into the Kindergarten program during the next school year, and we have been given the task of educating these sweet little ones. Majority of the students are non-verbal and have severe behavior problems. However, they are a joy to work with. There is not a day that goes by that we are not entertained by our eager little ones. Unfortunately, this class was just created and we are seeking resources to furnish the class properly. Equipment and supplies will be utilized to ensure that our student's educational goals are met.
