To participate in this competition, students need to read specific books from a master list of 45 books. Our school library has a few of these titles, but not all of them. In turn, the kids have to go to the local city library but most of the time, the books are already checked out because other students in the city or county are using them for the competition. I want my students to have an opportunity to be exposed to all of these novels by having them in my classroom, ready for them to read! They can achieve, if they have the resources available!
