We are a 3rd grade classroom of students from an inner city area of Connecticut. My students come to school with such motivation every day. We are a Title I school district with a high number of children living under the poverty level. Despite being a resource poor district and school, we find creative ways for these wonderful children to flourish. Our children are hard working, polite, and motivated to learn in a way that keeps me motivated every single day. I would say that every visitor to our school community is extremely positive in their response to the exciting learning they see in the classroom and the high standards they observe all around the school. We believe that all of our children can achieve at high levels and through this system, we have seen huge gains in the last 12 months. We will continue to use data to drive our instruction which allows us to use intervention and enrichment as part of our every day learning and teaching process.
