Our elementary school has been a member of the Baltimore City Public Schools since 1950. It was built in 1950 and dedicated in 1954 by City of Baltimore Mayor Thomas D'alesandro Jr., the Department of Education, and the Board of School Commissioners. About two years ago, the school underwent a major renovation. Although the building is new, it lacks many modern educational technologies and capabilities. The students at our school have consistently placed at the top tier of student achievement in Baltimore City. They risk falling behind, however, without access to many of the amenities and technology their peers across the district have.
