My students come from an impoverished neighborhood. Many of my students lack the essentials in life, and they also have disabilities ranging from autism to learning disabilities to cerebral palsy. These disabilities don't stop their amazing hearts & zeal for learning. I love teaching them because they love to learn. Many of them speak English as a second language. Their skills are limited, but when they come into my classroom, I want them to feel like they can do anything! I want them to master the math skills necessary to get a job after high school. That is why I chose to submit our needs for the math class here. These students do not have much at all, which makes them all the more grateful for what they are given.
